This week officially marks the start of summer, and this means that there is never a short supply of entertainment. Summer is a busy time in Northern Colorado. From one of the biggest rodeos in the world to outdoor concerts, the week of 6/23 through 6/26 is chalk full of exciting and new things to do.
Here are the top five activities in Northern Colorado this week.
1.Friday Fest in Greeley
Friday Fest occurs every Friday in the heart of downtown Greeley. Hundreds gather to hear music, enjoy local restaurants, dance, and spend some much needed time outside. It’s a family friendly event, you are even welcome to bring your furry friends! Dancing is always encouraged!

4. Colorado Brewers’ Festival in Fort Collins
Fort Collins is known nationwide for a few things: bikes, mountains, and BEER. This festival is centered around local craft breweries who are dying for you to try their creations. This is a great place to meet people who are passionate about specific kinds of beers and who knows, maybe have a thing or two to teach about the tedious beer making process! Tickets for this event start at 40.00 per person.
- Happening: June 24th
- Where: Washington Park, Downtown Fort Collins
- When: 5pm to 8pm
5. Bohemian Nights: Live Music in Fort Collins
For those of you who love music, carefree environments’, and people watching; this is the event for you. Fort Collins recently renovated the downtown square with a new stage to host the wildly popular Bohemian Nights where local bands give it their all to the enthusiastic crowd. Since this event is situated in the center of Old Town Fort Collins you are surrounded by fantastic eateries, and bars to explore when the show ends.
- Happening: Every Thursday throughout summer
- Where: Old Town Fort Collins
- When: 7pm to 9pm
Bonus Activity: Farmers Market in Downtown Greeley
This summer event is one of my personal favorites. I love the smell of herbs and locally grown produce as you walk through a maze of fresh farm picked fruits and vegetables. There is something comforting about purchasing fresh tomatoes from the man who grew them himself. When I walk through the market I always make sure to strike up conversations with the farmers themselves. They can tell you what is in season and may even share some family recipes. This is a great way to spend some time outdoors while supporting your local hardworking farmers.
- Happening: Every Saturday throughout summer
- Where: Union Pacific Depot, 902 7th Avenue, Greeley, CO
- When: 7:30 am to 12pm
These are some of my favorite activities that are going on this week. Do you have an event you would like us to feature? If so let me know in the comments below!
