Did anyone else feel like Labor Day weekend was one of the busiest weekends in Colorado? I feel like I need a weekend from my weekend. But now that things are slowing down again we can get back into the swing of things.

As we all know coming back from a long weekend is rough, but even though the week is half over there is still so much going on this week to keep everyone busy around Northern Colorado. Here is a list of the top five things to do this week…

1. Country Singer Trace Adkins Concert in Greeley

Country singer Trace Adkins has been popular in country music since I was a kid. I remember listening to his song, (This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing, which I will admit I still have in my music library. He is making a stop in Greeley and  playing at the Union Colony Civic Center this week. Make sure you grab tickets and get some good seats!

  • Happening: Thursday, September 8th
  • When: 7 PM – 10 PM
  • Where: Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave, Greeley, CO

Have you ever seen the HGTV show ‘Tiny House Hunters‘ where they document people who live in 600 square foot homes and think, “I wonder if I could do that”? This event is the first expo in Colorado to give you a hands-on and close-up look at what it takes to not only build your own tiny house but what it is actually like to live in one as well.

  • Happening: Sunday, September 11th
  • When: 10 AM – 5 PM
  • Where: The Farmstead Loveland, 1015 S Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO

Football season is back and I know that has a lot of people excited, and you can bet that Downtown Fort Collins will be exploding with Blue and Orange.  There are plenty of places to go grab a beer and watch the game in old town but one of my favorite places is the Blind Pig Pub. They have all the drink combinations that you could want and delicious food to match, as well as a huge projection tv that will no doubt be broadcasting this week’s game. PS: We will always love you, Payton.

  • Happening: Thursday, September 8th
  • When: Kick off happens at 6:30 PM
  • Where: Blind Pig Pub, 214 Linden St, Fort Collins, CO

The city-owned 1879 Avery House and 1883 Water Works are also part of the tour.”- Fort Collins Downtown
