I just realized that Halloween is on a Monday this year. What a bummer! Holidays like Halloween are always more fun on the weekends. With that said, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t lots of fun events going on this week to help get you in the Halloween spirit! Check some of them out below, along with other fun things to do.

1. Howl-O-Ween Trick-or-Treat In Greeley

If you are a native of Greeley, you have no doubt been to the Centennial Village Museum before and explored their school house along with their Swiss Cottage. They even have an exhibit dedicated to Rattlesnake Kate! Every year they put on a trick or treating event that is a blast. I would recommend this to anyone with little ones. It is a safe and fun place to take advantage of Halloween festivities.

  • Happening: Saturday, October 22nd
  • When: 3PM- 7PM
  • Where: Centennial Village Museum, 1475 A St, Greeley, CO

2. Clothing Swap in Fort Collins

Clothing is one of those things. You can never have enough! This event is free to all! It works like this; go through your closet, find things that are in good condition that you don’t wear anymore (let’s face it, we all have those items we bought and wore once) and swap!

  • Happening: Sunday, October 23rd
  • When: 2PM – 4PM
  • Where: Downtown Artery, 254 Linden St, Ft Collins, CO

“Monsters, ghouls and, of course, zombies of all ages invade Old Town for the 7th Annual Old Town Halloween Zombie Fest. As you make your way through the city streets, enjoy specials from our featured locations.”– Old Town Zombie

The stops include all of the best bars in Old Town. This is going to be a fun event for sure. There is also an event earlier in the day for kids! So its a great event for the whole family.

  • Where: Old Town Square, Fort Collins, CO

How fun would it be to go to a haunted hotel ball? The most fun! When I saw this event I couldn’t help but want to share it with you! “The wildly popular The Shining Ball returns to the Stanley Concert Hall featuring a live performance by the award-winning  North Mississippi Allstars. Participants will compete for prizes with imaginative, macabre and daring costumes that will be paraded through the hotel…so dress to impress. Festive hors d’oeuvres, delightful drink, dancing and cavorting among the imaginative, Shining-themed decor will bring new chills to the hottest night of the Halloween season.”– Stanley Hotel

  • Happening: Saturday, October 22nd
  • When: 8PM – 1PM
  • Where: Stanley Hotel, 333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO

5. Wednesday Night Wine Tasting in Fort Collins

Wine tastings are always a good way to spend an evening. This wine tasting takes place at Cafe Vino in Fort Collins. This wine tasting takes place every Wednesday and you are able to try up to five wines. Tickets are relatively affordable, starting at 25.00 dollars for each person.
